AUTHENTICITY
Authenticity requires an openness and honesty that will not tolerate religious masks. Proverbs 12:22 says, “...but those whose acts are true are His delight.” We believe that following Christ requires us to be well connected to other believers through openness, accountability, and love.
EXCELLENCE
Living in excellence means we remember whom it is we work for, keeping in mind, also, to do all things to the glory of God. Living in excellence transcends every aspect of our life: home-life, dealings with our friends, our church community, and even our places of business.
WORK OF THE SPIRIT IN THE BELIEVER
1 Peter 4:10 says, “As good managers of God’s grace in its various forms, serve one another with the gift each of you has received.” The Holy Spirit is alive and flowing and we want to act upon the gifts we have been given to further the Kingdom of God on earth.
AUTHORITY OF SCRIPTURE
2 Timothy 3:16-17 reads, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
PASSION FOR GOD
Love God above all other things; put God on the throne of your life. “Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.'” Matthew 22:37-38
CENTRALITY OF MERCY
God had mercy on us and sent His son to die on the cross so that, in him we might enter into God’s Kingdom. 1 Peter 1:3, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
COMMUNITY
As a community of believers, we should always be there for one another – both through prayer and meeting visceral needs. Acts 2:42 reads, “They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe and many wonderful and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to everyone as they had need.”
GOD CENTERED LIFESTYLE OF WORSHIP AND PRAYER
God desires our worship and prayers in our everyday life. It pleases him when, regardless of our circumstances, we offer up worship to him through song and prayer.
OTHERS-FOCUSED LIFESTYLE
Philippians 2:4 says, “Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.” We promote the practice of reaching out to others, both in our immediate community as well as across national borders, with missions support.
RACIAL RECONCILIATION
We strive to be a community of believers that embraces all races, nationalities, and tongues of God’s Kingdom. After all, Revelation 5:9 reads, “... and... with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”
FAITH-INSPIRED OUTLOOK
As it reads in Acts 16:5, “So the churches were strengthened in the faith and grew daily in number.” So we believe, as we individually grow in our own faith, we grow together as a body. And, when the body grows in faith, we reach out to others, increasing the number of believers that will reach the Kingdom.
SERVANTHOOD
Ephesians 6:7 reads, “Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.” Doing things for other people is more than a nice thing to do; it blesses God when we reach out to others.
